Packing and Organizing

I spent some time this weekend getting out the various outfits I envisioned taking on the trip and trying things on. My sister was here so we had fun. Of course it had been pretty hot here and I said I would only try on these "fall" things if it was cool, and the weather obliged by being foggy yesterday morning. The boots I bought at the Macy's sale are pretty comfortable, but they did make my legs hot by the time we got done.

Also went shopping on Saturday and bought a couple of tops, not sure if I will be taking them or not. I am still stuck on what coat to take, although I am sure it will not ultimately matter -- no matter what we expect from the weather it will probably be the opposite! Cold? Rainy? Hot? Scorching?

So how are you all doing on the packing front? The Roll Call website has a packing page with a couple of suggested websites about packing.

Finally, I have posted a picture of the four of us over on the right. This is a copy of our pic from the party in June.

I never did get that picture. Who sent it to you? It's fun to have it on the blog. I started thinking about the packing thing afer reading this. I don't think I have given too much thought to it, but a little. I know that at the very last minute I will be trying to pack and find that I have nothing that I want to wear, or anything that seems to go together. I try to find stuff, but there is just nothing at the moment that seems like what I want. The most important thing is the shoes and God knows I have spent considerable time looking for those, but I still have not found anything I feel will be both comfortable and look ok. But, I am still trying. It just seems like I don't get too much chance to look and then when I do I am not in the mood to make a decision. Hum, maybe there is something going on here. I know that after all of this time all of a sudden it seems like we are running out of time!! I am starting to get excited to go.

Diana has all of the pictures on a website called Snapfish. I emailed you the link. You might have to sign in to see the album.

I have decided not to worry about "cute" and go for comfortable. I might even return this one pair of shoes I bought. After hiking up and down hills in SF for that conference, I decided that my "orthopedic" shoes would have to do. The boots are pretty comfortable although not too much support.

We could have a packing party!
