You might notice that I have added a new section over on the right that lists movies that come to mind that take place in the various ports. So far I have been concentrating on the ones in Rome. Roman Holiday is obviously a classic with Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck, but Rome Adventure is also fun. It is a sixties classic about some young women who decide to go and work in Rome. With Suzanne Pleshette (her first movie?) and Troy Donahue who was my heartthrob as a tween. Also, if you did not see that Roman Spring movie with Helen Mirren - whew! Hot! I don't know if the Vivien Leigh version is good, but it might be...
Any other suggestions?

Isn't there a movie call "Death in Venice"? I could, of course, be making it up, but it may be Agtha Cristy? I will have to think about it, but what a fun idea, especially since there is not much on tv all summer.
I know, I might have to join NetFlicks just to get these! Death in Venice is a novel (and movie) by Thomas Mann. It is sort of depressing and weird, but there are some great Venice scenes in it.
I watched Roman Holiday last night. Lots of good Rome stuff, plus Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck!! Fun!
