Rome Bus

Here is a new option for Rome - Hop On and Off bus from Viator. It is less than $25 for 24 hours, and you can also get it for 48 hours. Although I have to say that most of what we want to see is in the first few stops. Anyway, we could take the train in (say $15 roundtrip), tour for the day this way, spend the night, wander around the next day and then take the train back. There was one post about someone's train being 3 hours late. Uh-oh.

Fun? Or we could get a private limo on the second day to take us around and home?

I sort of like the train idea, but it is a little scary to think of the train being 3 hours late! It seems like a good way to go, but maybe on the new blog there are other people with ideas or ones who have done it before. I guess once we know our hotel maybe they could tell us how possible it is or have a suggestion.

Yesterday on Cruise Critic someone mentioned that there are three companies offering this type of service in Rome. Also that there are similar things in other cities, like Barcelona (Diana mentioned the Red Bus).

Once we have an idea of what we want to do in Rome we can decide whether to take the train back or use a service.
