We are a group of four friends going on a cruise to the Mediterrannean in November 2008. We are using this space to collect information to help us get organized for the trip.

- Dangerous Beauty - this is a historical story about a courtesan in Venice, it is beautiful
- Death In Venice (1971) Dirk Bogarde, a sort of dark story by Thomas Mann
- L'Auberge Espagnole (2002) - set in Barcelona
- La Dolce Vita (1960) - I could never get into this movie but it has some great scenes of Rome
- Roman Holiday (1953) - Audrey Hepburn, Gregory Peck - a classic!
- Roman Spring of Mrs. Stone (1961) - original version with Vivien Leigh
- Roman Spring of Mrs. Stone (2003) - newer version with Helen Mirren looking like a very sexy older woman!
- Rome Adventure (1962) - Suzanne Pleshette & Troy Donahue: pretty campy movie, but fun

This looks nice. The rates look to be between 216 EUR for a standard room and 345 EUR for deluxe. I also found some on the Karen Brown site that sounded good and were slightly less to around this. (One thing I like about her is that she describes the rooms in such detail.)
Okay, off to work.
I am going to look on the Karen Brown site when I get a chance. Maybe Judy does not know the price of the rooms. What about the place we all stayed? I can't remember the name, but it was in a good location and I remember that it was a nice hotel.
I didn't even notice your comment here. The name of the hotel we stayed at was Hotel American (or somesuch). I think the hotels in the Dorsodoro are less expensive. Karen Brown does not mention any in that area, but I sort of liked being off the beaten track. I think the link is http://www.hotelamerican.com/.
