The most famous market of Nice is the flower market and main market on the Cours Saleya in the old town .
On Mondays, (when we will be there) the Cours Saleya has a large flea market, the Marché a la Brocante et Antiquités. In the picture the market is the street with the colorful awnings (2 rows from the beach). It ends at the Ville Matisse.

I would like to get to the town of Nice and just walk around. Here is a link to instructions on how to take the train from Villefranche to Nice. Sounds like a good way to do it! kay t 12/6/07

It is great that we will be there on a day that something is happening. I was there once, briefly, with Judy, but I don't really remember anything about it. Maybe she has a better memory. Were you there with Keith?
No, I think that we just went to Monaco and then stopped in Cap Antibes or something.
This in one place that I think we can do on our own. I was thinking I want to go to the market, walk along the Promenade Anglais (both of these are close together and look like fun) and maybe go to the Matisse museum (this might require a cab ride). Somewhere I saw that the cab ride from the cruise dock to downtown was $25, but it did not look like it was that far. So here is a "cheap" day.
