More Venice Hotels

Here are the Venice hotels I found from Karen Brown that sounded good: Hotel Locanda Vivaldi; Hotel Metropole. These sound like they are right near each other.

I saw these also. All of her hotels seem great. Did you happen to check the prices? And I was not sure about the location. Are they out on the Lido isles? Do you have to take a water taxi to the main parts of town? That was the part I was not too sure about, although I guess it could be a plus.

No, these two are on the same island as St. Mark's square on the north side of the Grand Canal. We would have to take a taxi from the port to the hotel, but you could walk from any of the hotels that we have listed so far to the main part of town. One of the hotels we have listed is on the "main" walking street on the way to St. Mark's (I think the Saturnia), these are to the east of St. Mark's. The Hotel American is on the Dorsodoro Island which is island just south of the Grand Canal. Maybe I can get a link to a map on here someplace.
